Eric began his legal career at an IP boutique firm, before moving in-house as Patent Counsel at Immersion Corporation, followed by IP Counsel at Molecular Devices. He later joined Genentech, where he now supports large, complex technology portfolios at the intersection of biotech, software, and data-driven innovation.
Eric holds a BA in Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of California, Berkeley, and a JD with a specialization in Business Law and Policy from UCLA School of Law.
As a member of the Patlytics Advisory Board, Eric will provide strategic guidance on how AI-powered tools can support coherent IP strategy, portfolio development, licensing and collaboration readiness, litigation support, and risk assessment — particularly for organizations operating across software, AI, and life sciences domains.
