With over 14 years of experience in patent strategy, enforcement, and portfolio management in the life sciences industry, Yoon has a deep understanding of intellectual property’s role at the intersection of biotechnology innovation and commercial strategy in highly regulated markets.

As senior patent counsel at Denali Therapeutics, Yoon leads global IP strategy across therapeutic development programs. Her expertise spans portfolio management, patent litigation, prosecution, licensing, due diligence, and contract negotiation, core competencies that have defined her career throughout both in-house and private practice roles.

Yoon holds a B.A. in Neurobiology and Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania and a J.D. from Indiana University Maurer School of Law. Before joining Denali, Yoon served as senior IP counsel at Abbott Laboratories and associate general counsel at Fresenius Kabi, where she managed complex patent portfolios, licensing negotiations, and cross-border patent litigation. Earlier in her career, she practiced as a patent attorney at Baker & McKenzie and litigation counsel at LG Electronics, providing her with a comprehensive perspective on both the corporate and litigation sides of IP management. 

Yoon joins Patlytics because she recognizes how AI can elevate IP strategy by unifying data, analytics, and automation into a single platform, empowering teams to make faster, smarter, and more informed decisions across the patent lifecycle. With over a decade of experience in the life sciences sector spanning careers with Fresenius Kabi, Abbott Laboratories, and now Denali Therapeutics, Yoon brings invaluable insight and expertise on how domain-specialized AI can support patent practice in highly regulated and innovation-driven industries.
